About

I’m the chief information security officer for an insurance company. With my systems-intensive work history, you might expect me to have a certain amount of contempt for “average” computer users, but I don’t. For example, I don’t mind helping my non-technical friends and neighbors fix their computers when they get into a bad situation. It’s a good opportunity to help them become better netizens.

When it comes to personal computers, I use all three of the major flavors: Windows, Macintosh, and Linux. Which one I use is simply a matter of asking myself “which one is the best for the work that needs to be done?” Each platform has it’s own advantages and disadvantages.
